Swimming..Swimming in the Swimming pool!

Yesterday Jon and I decided to take Kemp to Jon's dads pool for a swim. Last week when we went for Father's Day we had so much that we just KNEW Kemp would love it.
And boy were we right! He had sooooooooo much fun. In fact, we were in the pool from          11 am until 6 pm. With MINOR breaks in between. I couldn't believe what a good swimmer Kemp has gotten to be! He no longer swims with floaties on! Such a big boy now!
And I have to brag on him for just a minute! That boy has the BEST manners I have ever heard. Everything is always "YES MAM, NO MAM..YES SIR, NO SIR!" And I have to give his parents mad props for making him have those manners! So, good job Natalie and Brad! :)
Kristin was there with us yesterday and Kemp was obsessed with Miss Kristin! She was VERY sweet to Bubs! After work Mr. Keith (as Kemp calls him) came home and we got to hang out with him for a while. He ordered us a pizza and we ate dinner with them. I couldn't believe that Kemp wasn't ready to go! He was still going 90 MPH! At around 8:45 we decided that we should probably hit the road. Kemp was in the car talking about how much fun he had and was already asking when we could go back. We were talking to him and the next thing we know he was OUT and slept until 9:00 this morning! He was exhausted.

Thank you Keith and Sandi for always being so welcoming to Jon and I. We had a BLAST yesterday and can't wait to come back soon!! We love you guys so much! And thanks Kristin for hanging out with us! Lets do it all again soon!

Blessings and Peace,

Unexpected surprise!!!

This afternoon I got home and was playing on Natalie and Brads new iMac! Natalie's neighbor came over to borrow something and she said, "AH UPS came!" I just kinda shrugged my shoulders because I NEVER get packages.

Well, guess what????!?!?!?!?

It was for ME! (well technically Mr. Wiggles!) My sweet, awesome, beautiful, amazing cousin Ginger sent me a PUPPY BASKET! It is the most adorable thing you have ever seen. Came with a bed, blanket, a lovey, all kinds of toys, an adorable picture frame, and a first paw print kit! I couldn't believe that someone would do something SO special for me! Thank you, Ginger! What a great unexpected surprise!! Jon and I are thrilled and can't thank you enough for your generosity! Now, I just need Mr. Wiggles to use it all! 23 days and counting!!!!!!!

Here are some pictures of the basket!

He is a proud daddy! :)

These are the special times...

So for the past couple of weeks I have been such a "Debbie Downer" to Jon. Why? Well, because I feel like ALL of our friends have bought houses except for us. (and we are one of the only married couples) Maybe I have been a little ahem a LOT green with envy. I know we will eventually get our own home, but it still stinks to see all you friends with these INCREDIBLE new homes. While I should be HAPPY for them I can't but help find myself being ENVIOUS

But tonight..God reveled to me why he has us here at Nats.
Why you might ask?!

Because He has given the amazing blessing of being able to spend quality time with my nephew and niece.

Tonight Kemp and I sat on the back deck just the two of us. We were eating popsicles and just chit chatting. As we were sitting there he just looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said "Cutie, I love you." Just in the middle of our chat.  As I sat there I almost started crying. It hit me like a ton of bricks. These are the SPECIAL times that I will NEVER forget. I will always cherish these times I have spent with them. These are the times that I will reflect back on and will remember more than anything.Especially with Kemp.  Just because he is a little older. He is truly one of the sweetest boys in this world.

So, THANK YOU GOD for allowing me to have these special times with my niece and nephew. This is the BEST gift anyone could ever give me.

Blessings and Peace,

Just an update

Not to much new going on in the world of the Cullens. Jon and I have had a fun filled week.
Last saturday we house sat/dog sat for Ms. Konie. That was like a mini-vaca for Jon and I! :) The dogs are SO funny and soooooooooo good! And it was also convenient for me going to work. I could leave 10 minutes before I had to be there on time. :)

Last tuesday I was looking on PetFinder.com like I do EVERY SINGLE DAY! And I found Jon and I's first puppy. His name is Twinkie, but Jon and I are changing it to Mr.Wiggles. :) Twinkie is a chihuahua at a shelter in Cullman. He is only 5 weeks old and he can't be adopted until July 17th. (Moms birthday!) I called and I am 1st on the list to get him! I am so excited. I have been wanting a puppy for a while, but never found one that I like as much as Mr.Wiggles. He is just precious. Can't wait to bring him home. :)

Jon and I went to Jemision for a Fathers Day celebration. Some of Jons family I had never met were there, so it was nice being with them all. We all had a blast. The pool is so much fun. I foresee LOTS of weekends at the Cullen house! :) AND I got an EARLY birthday gift from Sandi and Keith and that was a new bathing suit. It is SO cute. I love it! Thank you guys so much!! :)

On Friday I decided it was time to get a hair cut and my roots were in desperate need of touch ups. As you all know, I have NEVER had my hair cut short. (Well except this one time that Ms.Konie took me to get my hair cut without Moms permission..but thats another story... another day!) Anyway, I got it cut shorter and a lot blonder! I am LOVING it! It is just WAY to hot to have long hair right now! :)

After spending Fathers Day with Keith, we came back to celebrate with my daddy. We ate lunch at Natalie and Brads and spent some time with him there. Everyone was going to Old Overton to swim, but Jon and I both got fried at the pool yesterday and we decided that we would just be miserable in that hot sun again!

Now were back at Ms.Konies with her sweet doggies! Jon is watching soccer. USA just beat Egypt! GO USA. I don't even like soccer, but that was a fun game to watch!

Well, I am going to take a nap!

I hope you all have a great week!

Blessings and love,

Answered Prayer!

So, I couldn't be more happy right now. Jon has had 3 interviews this week with the same company. 1 phone interview, 1 lunch interview with the Assistant Web Developer, and one with the president of the company. Today he was suppose to go in around 2 for his interview, but they called and asked if he could come in around 10:45. At 11 I recieved a text from Jon saying, "Shortest interview ever!!!" I thought to myself, "bummer. He didn't get the job". But I immediately texted him back to see what the outcome was. He texted me back with Good and bad news. The good news?? HE GOT THE JOB! The bad news: He is on a free lance trial basis. BUT, I have total faith that this is going to work out for him. SO please, KEEP praying that this works out. I can only PRAISE GOD right now for this opprotunity. There is a scripture that talks about not worrying about tomorrow, but that tomorrow will worry itself. And thats what I am doing. I am going to PRAISE my AWESOME God for this blessing He has given Jon and we are going to work with it.
Thank you to each and everyone of you who have been praying for Jon and I. It means more to me then I could ever tell you.
I will update more about Jons new job as I get the details!
Blessings and Peace,

Slacker....

Wellllllll......I would say that I have been a MAJOR slacker on the blogging here lately. Sorry to all my blogging friends. (Mrs.Konie, mom told me you asked if I was ever going to blog again-Well here ya go..HAHA!!)

Jon and I are officially back in Birmingham. We've been here for about 2 weeks now and are absolutely loving it. Its nice to be near family again. And man, Jon and I have saved some money not having to drive from Auburn to Birmingham every weekend. Ha. :)

Jon has been on several interviews since he has been here and we are now playing the "waiting" game. NOT a fun game. Please continue to pray for him as he is STILL job hunting.  I know a job will come around I just need to learn patience. Since he has been here he has started helping with the KnickNats earrings. He has learned how to make them and is doing a great job. At least its something to keep him busy.

We have enjoyed being here at Natalie and Brads. The kids keep us entertained. Daisy keeps me laughing all the time. She is SUCH a diva. And Kemp. I mean OBSESSED isn't even the word for what he is with Jon. And DAISY too. WOW, they both LOVE their Uncle Jon Jon and are always wanting HIM to play with them. He has so much patience with them. He is REALLY great with kids.

Last night we went to babysit Lily. It was a ball. We went to New York Pizza, Edgewood Creamery, and then to the park. Lily is just a doll. She is sooo smart. I can't believe that she starts kindergarten this year. It just seems like yesterday she was Daisy's age.  She will be 5 in August and that just BLOWS my mind. I don't know where that time went.

I have been working VBS at RUMC this week and next week work starts back. I can't wait to be around all my old co-workers again. :) ( I DO miss my kiddos and friends back at the CDC. I have some pictures of my last day that I am going to update with next.)

Well, I need to go and help make some earrings.

Have a BLESSED day,
